Clear Aligners Indooroopilly
When people think of straightening their smile, they often think of braces. Braces are certainly an effective solution for many, but for others they are not necessary, nor desirable because they can be uncomfortable and are noticeable.
In recent years, clear aligners have become a popular cosmetic dentistry solution for crooked teeth, gaps in teeth and imperfect smiles. Alignment technologies like SureSmile are empowering Australians to remain confident in their smile during their treatment with a dentist in Indooroopilly, by offering an invisible solution that is quick, fast and efficient compared to older methods.
Clear Aligners for Straightening Teeth
At River City Dental, we use SureSmile Aligners, which are clear aligners can be used to restore or create the ideal smile. Like Invisalign, they are transparent, which makes them effectively invisible to anyone who you interact with. On top of this, they are removable for eating – with SureSmile, you will be able to eat what you please.
A visit to your St Lucia dentist can determine whether you are a candidate for SureSmile aligners. If you are considered a suitable candidate and decide you are keen to proceed after a detailed explanation of your treatment options, the process will be as follows:
- Your dentist creates a 3D model of your teeth using a digital oral scanner.
- This 3D model is inputted into treatment planning technology, which uses the model to plan the design of your aligners.
- After your dentist has made adjustments to the modelling to ensure you get the final result you desire, the modelling is submitted to SureSmile who then produce the clear aligners using automated laser cutting and 3D printing.
- When your aligners arrive, your dentist will provide advice on usage and care, and schedule in follow-ups to ensure everything is going to plan and to equip you with the next in your series of aligners that will deliver your ideal smile.
How do they work?
SureSmile aligners are made of durable, strong Essix plastic materials. They work by gradually forcing your teeth to shift place, without the need for metal installations or wires to be used as part of the treatment plan.
They can be used to make room where missing teeth are such that dental implants can in turn be used to restore a full mouth of teeth.
They should be worn for 20-22 hours daily for maximum effectiveness. As the teeth shift into more ideal positions, the patient will work through a series of clear aligners and in a period of approximately six months to two years, they should have achieved the desired outcome – the ideal smile!
