Indooroopilly Dental Checkups
While it may seem that people who enjoy excellent health are merely lucky, it’s not as straightforward as that. To ensure good dental health, maintenance and prevention are simple yet important ways to ensure that optimal oral health and hygiene are achieved and sustained.

At River City Dental we look to establish ongoing relationships with our clients and to provide all the necessary treatment and care for dental problems at all ages. The best way to keep visits simple and avoid the need for significant and costly intervention or treatment in the longer term, is to schedule regular checkup and clean appointments.
Comprehensive checkups are performed by our professional, knowledgeable dentists, ably assisted by our caring and experienced dental nurses who can put even the most nervous of clients at ease. After completion, our efficient front of clinic staff will facilitate your payment and any rebates or concessions and will schedule your next checkup – we recommend every six months for maximum care and prevention of problems.
At River City Dental we provide a holistic dental checkup service, comprising a thorough physical examination (with x-rays if required) cleaning and descaling, and lastly a fluoride treatment. Removal of dental plaque is something that needs to be done regularly – if it is not removed regularly it becomes tartar, which can only be removed by a dentist (descaling). If left too long, tartar will build up and can cause larger problems such as decay and gum disease.
As well as thoroughly cleaning the mouth and teeth for improved hygiene, fresh breath and a brighter, healthier smile, at a checkup your dentist will also provide you with advice on any other concerns or potential problems and issues such as wisdom teeth, crooked or misaligned teeth, and the best methods and equipment to use to maintain good dental hygiene at home between clinic visits.
